Chickens
In Spring of 2008, we welcomed our first batch of chicks and we
have some fine layers from this group of Light Brahmas, White
Cochins, Partridge Rocks and Barred Rocks.  The hens began laying in
September and even through this cold winter, we have eggs daily,
sometimes from everyone!

Below is one of the 2 giant eggs laid, but we don't know from who!!

Spring 2009 - Chickens are now molting but we're still getting some
eggs.  Also added 3 more hens from a friend who can no longer keep
them.  They are young and are still adjusting to life with the big girls.
It's very enjoyable having the chickens and we don't regret for one
minute having them join our farm.
